Touring the Grounds

A map of the Parker Tavern property will be added here soon. It will highlight key areas such as the herb and flower garden, vegetable garden, and kiosk information board.

What’s Happening This Season?

Please stop by the kiosk board tucked into the trees opposite the Tavern’s front door for information of interest rotating through seasonal topics, garden news, and bits of local history.

Current Projects:

  • Nurturing our recently planted vegetable garden

  • Continuing care of our historical flower and herb garden

  • Spring clean-up and pruning

We’d like to offer special thanks to the Reading Garden Club for their continued care of our gardens. Their dedication brings lasting beauty to the grounds each season.

What’s Growing?

While many plantings stay the same year to year, we will try note any major changes or seasonal highlights of interest in the gardens. If you want the full scoop on what we have planted in our herb and vegetable gardens, be sure to check out our informational garden plaques on site.
